Imagine a scenario where healthy dietary pattern isn’t followed.

If healthy dietary pattern is not followed then it may lead to atherosclerosis which progresses to angina further leading to coronary artery disease or CAD.

Coronary Artery disease (CAD)

Coronary artery disease happens when plaque builds upon the inner walls of your coronary arteries. This causes your arteries to harden and narrow, which decreases blood flow to your heart. As a result, your heart doesn’t get enough blood, oxygen and nutrients it needs which can lead to chest pain or a heart attack.

Due to higher intake of cholesterol, some amount of plaque gets deposited in inner walls of the arteries which results in clogging of arteries
